HC Deb 08 March 1984 vol 55 c709W
Mr. Pawsey

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many complaints have been received by the Post Office about the late delivery of first-class mail and second-class mail and about pilferage during the year ended 1983; and how these figures compare in each case with 1973.

Mr. Trippier

The Post Office received 62,400 complaints for the financial year 1982–83, compared with 55,400 for 1972–73 about delays to letters. The Post Office does not maintain a record of complaints about pilfering.
