§ Mr. Maddenasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what is his estimate of (a) the net and (b) the gross saving in 1984–85 from the withdrawal of the non-householders' contribution from 18 to 20-year-olds on supplementary benefit;
(2) what is his estimate of (a) the net and (b) the gross saving in 1983–84 and 1984–85 from the withdrawal of the non-householders' contribution from 16 to 17-year-olds on supplementary benefit; and in each year how many non-dependents will be affected.
