HC Deb 07 March 1984 vol 55 c616W
Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing the total amount spent by the European Economic Community on intervention, storage and disposal of each of the commodities subject to the common agricultural policy in the latest year for which figures are available together with the tonnage of each commodity produced in the European Economic Community.

Mr. MacGregor

The latest published information on levels of Community production for all commodities except olive oil is contained in the markets section of the agricultural situation of the Community 1983 report published by the European Commission, a copy of which is in the Library of the House. Community production of olive oil in the 1981–82 marketing year is estimated to have been 860,000 tonnes.
