§ Mr. BrookeThe number of full-time academic staff wholly financed from university funds in Scotland fell from 5,132 in 1979–80 to 4,633 in 1982–83. Full-time staff not wholly financed from university funds rose from 1,232 to 1,497 and part-time staff from 257 to 433 over the same period.
