§ Mr. DunnMy right hon. Friend would like to see an improvement in the level of expenditure by local education authorities on the repair and maintenance of school buildings. The plans published in the recent public expenditure White Paper—Cmnd. 9143—allow for such an improvement, provided pay and other costs are contained.
