HC Deb 06 March 1984 vol 55 cc487-8W
36. Mr. Fallon

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has had about his speech in Sheffield on 6 January.

Sir Keith Joseph

I have received a substantial number of letters from right hon. and hon. Members and from members of the public; the great majority of these express general support for the Government's programme for improving standards in schools. I am currently discussing with my partners in the education service how our objectives may best be achieved.
