HC Deb 06 March 1984 vol 55 c527W
Mr. Anderson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether the Government have decided to accept the invitation to send observers to the elections in El Salvador on 25 March.

Mr. Whitney

I have nothing to add to the answer I gave my hon. Friend the Member for Fife, North-East (Mr. Henderson) on 29 February, at c. 226–27.

Mr. Madden

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what assistance is being made available to British observers of El Salvador elections; and what embassies will host the United Kingdom observers.

Mr. Whitney

Administrative and other appropriate assistance is being made available by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and by the British ambassador to Honduras, who is also accredited to El Salvador.
