asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he has any conveniently available figures as to how much and what proportion of the food supplied to the armed forces in the Falkland Islands is discarded (a) unused and (b) after cooking; and how these figures compare with those at military establishments (i) in the United Kingdom and (ii) in Germany.

asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many and what proportion of Hercules flights between the Falkland Islands and Ascension Island have had to turn back short of destination because of (a) problems with the aircraft, (b) problems with refuelling aircraft and (c) weather conditions at Stanley.
