Mr. Janner

asked the Secretary of State for the Horne Departmet how many (a) males and (b)females above and below pensionable age respectively have been (c) convicted and (d) acquitted of shoplifting offences for each of the last five years for which records are available in (i) Essex, (ii) Northamptonshire and (iii) the Metropolitan area.
