Mr. Cohen

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will estimate how many people would have the right to stay in the United Kingdom if the law was changed to allow residence to those with entry clearance on the basis of their parent or spouse's United Kingdom

residence where that parent or spouse has died after the issue of the clearance but before the person concerned has entered the United Kingdom.
