asked the Secretary of State for Social Services, further to his reply to the hon. Member for Mid-Staffordshire, Official Report, c. 231, if he will ask his Department's central pension branch to reply definitely as a matter of urgency in the case of Mrs. G. L. Stevenson of 5 Maybank Close, Lichfield, Staffordshire.

My hon. Friend will have received the written explanation dated 15 February 1984 which I promised in my reply to his earlier question. He will also have now received the reply which was sent to him from the Department's central pensions branch on 22 February 1984.
