asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what consultations have taken place with trade union representatives in the blood transfusion service on Merseyside concerning the reorganisation of the service;

(2) how many new full-time jobs will be created following the proposed reorganisation of the blood transfusion service in North Wales and on Merseyside;
