§ Mr. Goldingasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how much his Department and British Telecom have spent so far in preparing for the flotation of British Telecom shares.
§ Mr. ButcherUp to 5 June 1984 the Department of Trade and Industry has spent £1,053,233.14 in preparing for the flotation of British Telecom shares. This sum includes the Department's share of certain expenses which are met jointly with British Telecom. Expenditure by British-Telecom in preparation for the flotation is a matter for the corporation.
