§ Mr. Alan ClarkI am very encouraged by the way the enterprise allowance scheme is operating. As at 19 June 1984 the scheme had assisted nearly 40,300 unemployed people to create their own jobs. In addition, evidence suggests that on average for every 100 businesses set up under the scheme another 50 jobs have subsequently been generated.
