§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales what representations he has received following his 490W announcement of 15 June concerning the transfer of the training of Welsh language craft, design and technology teachers from Bangor normal college; and if he is prepared to reconsider his decision if new material evidence is presented to him by those currently seeking to bring a delegation to meet him to discuss this matter.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsThe North Wales Joint Education Committee have made representations and have asked that my right hon. Friend meets a deputation. He is considering their request but cannot at this stage undertake to re-open the discussions which led to his decision that there should be a training course at Gwent College of Higher Education for prospective teachers of craft, design, design and technology through the medium of the Welsh language.
