HC Deb 28 June 1984 vol 62 c501W
Sir Bernard Braine

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what response he has made to the policy statement of the British Refugee Council on the issues to be considered at the second international conference on assistance to refugees in Africa; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Raison

I met representatives of the British Refugee Council on 25 June for a discussion on their policy statement and the conference in question.

I shall attend the conference, and I hope to announce at it the measures that the Government have in mind to supplement their existing help for refugees in Africa.
