asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what restrictions on the use of water are currently in operation in England.

Three water authorities in England have imposed bans on the use of hosepipes in parts of their areas under section 16 of the Water Act 1945:

Mr. Hayward

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what applications have been made by water authorities in England to him under the Drought Act 1976 in 1984 to date; and what decisions he has taken.
