HC Deb 26 June 1984 vol 62 c418W
10. Mr. Dubs

asked the Secretary of State for Defence when he expects United States ships carrying sea-based cruise missiles to start using British ports.

Mr. Stanley

This is a matter for the United States Government in the first instance, but, as I said to the hon. Member on 10 April, no requests for such port visits have been made.

18. Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make it his policy to make a statement on each occasion when a flight of cruise missiles becomes operational in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Stanley

Information on the deployment of nuclear forces, including ground-launched cruise missiles, will be provided in the annual "Statements on the Defence Estimates".

31. Mr. Flannery

asked the Secretary of State for Defence when he expects works at RAF Molesworth to be completed for the future deployment of cruise missiles.

Mr. Stanley

As is stated in the "Statement on the Defence Estimates 1984" Cmnd. 9227-I, paragraph 120, the total planned deployment of 160 cruise missiles in the United Kingdom at RAF Greenham common and RAF Molesworth is due to be completed by 1988.
