§ Mr. WhitneyBerufsverbot permits individual German laender to exclude from the public service individuals who actively support parties whose support for democratic institutions is in doubt. These restrictions are currently being challenged before the European Commission of Human Rights by a number of affected individuals. Further comment would therefore be inappropriate.
