HL Deb 25 June 1984 vol 453 c776WA
Lord Beaumont of Whitley

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will take the opportunity of their next discussion with the World Health Organisation on the subject of their budget to ask them:

(1) whether they intend to publish a study of Alcohol Beverages: Dimensions of Corporate Power as commissioned by their Working Party on Alcohol Consumption, and, if not, why not; and

(2) whether they will convey to them the view that such a study would be of interest to all involved in the problems of alcoholism, and should not be suppressed.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health and Social Security (Lord Glenarthur)

I refer the noble Lord to my reply of 19th March [Official Report, Vol. 449, col. 1095]. I will write to the noble Lord about this matter.
