§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will introduce legislation to require a borough council to modify its unitary development plans to take account of objections from neighbouring boroughs, if the Greater London council is abolished.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneNo. However, neighbouring boroughs will be free to make objections to a unitary development plan when it is placed on deposit or at a public local inquiry. The local planning authority may then, if it thinks fit, modify its plan to take account of such objections and representations.
