§ Mr. Alan ClarkOn 5 April 1984, the rate of unemployment in the United Kingdom for unemployed claimants aged under 18 years was 18.1 per cent. The corresponding rate for unemployed claimants of all ages was 13 per cent. Rates by age are estimated and, although presented to one decimal place, should not be regarded as implying precision to that degree.
