§ Mr. John PattenSome hon. Members have sent me a copy of an identical letter conveying a resolution passed by a temperance body. The warnings proposed are not appropriate as it is the misuse, not the use, of alcohol which causes harm. A copy of "That's the limit—a guide to sensible drinking" recently published by the Health Education Council has been placed in the Library. The council is giving further consideration to the most effective ways of conveying information about alcohol and encouraging the avoidance of alcohol misuse.
