Whether they have seen the Declaration signed by 1,256 leading Turkish academics submitted to the Turkish President and whether they will indicate their support for this demand for human rights in a NATO country.

We hope that the Turkish Government will continue to make progress in the field of human rights. My right honourable and learned friend last raised the question with the Turkish Foreign Minister when they met in Paris on 17th May.
