§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will publish a detailed and comprehensive management guide for nuclear shelters.
§ Mr. HurdGuidance on how to identify buildings and other structures which could be used as civil defence shelters for the public and on how to plan for their use will be included in the consolidated circular of guidance. We shall be consulting local authority associations shortly on a draft. Information on domestic nuclear shelters was published in 1981 in "Domestic Nuclear Shelters" and "Domestic Nuclear Shelters—Technical guidance". Copies are in the Library of the House. We hope to publish further information next year.
