Whether they agree that the use of the words "duty free shop" to describe premises from which the goods sold are not duty free constitutes a breach of the Trade Descriptions Act, and whether they will take steps to see that this practice is discontinued.
§ The Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Lord Belstead)I am advised that there could be circumstances in which misleading use of the expression "duty free shop" contravened Section 11(2) of the Trade Descriptions Act 1968. The noble Lord may wish to bring any particular case he has in mind to the attention of the appropriate local trading standards department.
