HC Deb 15 June 1984 vol 61 c599W
Mr. Pike

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he is satisfied with the employment prospects of those disabled people in the Burnley travel-to-work area who have undertaken rehabilitation courses.

Mr. Alan Clark

The Government are concerned to ensure that resources available to promote the employment of disabled people in all parts of the country, including those devoted to employment rehabilitation courses, are used as effectively as possible in improving employment prospects for these people.

The Manpower Services Commission has recently approved a number of developments designed to improve resetttlement rates for those undertaking rehabilitation courses.
