HC Deb 14 June 1984 vol 61 cc527-8W
Mr. Proctor

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what representations he has received concerning the need for amending the legislation concerning the signing requirements for weight restrictions on roads; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Chalker

The only representation I have received was from the British Railways Board, asking for the definition of "large" vehicles on railway level crossing signs to correspond with the current 38 tonnes maximum gross weight limit. The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 1981 will be amended shortly to meet this request.
