§ Mr. Lathamasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, on the basis of his Department's voluntary inquiry on construction activity, he will give details of local authority starts and completions of dwellings built by direct labour departments since 1 October 1982.
§ Sir George YoungAbout 80 per cent. of local authorities in England have replied to the Department's voluntary inquiry on construction activity, but only a small proportion of these build dwellings by direct labour. In the period 1 October 1982 to 31 December 1983, local authorities reported as follows:
