§ Mr. Roy Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what representations he has received from Gwent county council and other local authorities in the county concerning Cmnd. 9111 "Regional Industrial Development" what reply he has sent; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. TrippierI have received a joint response to the White Paper "Regional Industrial Development", from Gwent county council and the borough and district councils in Gwent. The boroughs of Blaenau Gwent and Islwyn have also made separate submissions on points of particular concern to them. These responses have all been acknowledged.
I shall make a statement when we are ready to introduce the revised scheme and assisted area map in the autumn,
