§ Mr. D. E. Thomasasked the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts whether Her Majesty's Government are satisfied that the Welsh Arts Council has sufficient funding to enable it to fulfil the Government's policy for the arts in Wales.
§ Mr. WaldegraveYes. The Government's policy for the Arts in Wales is that the Arts Council should allocate a fair share of the available resources to the Welsh Arts Council, and that the latter should decide how best to use it. That policy is being successfully applied.
