HC Deb 12 June 1984 vol 61 c438W
Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many houses in Scotland are below tolerable standard; and how many of these are in private ownership and also owner-occupied.

Mr. Ancram

It is estimated on the basis of local authority returns that there were around 81,000 below the tolerable standard in Scotland at 31 March 1983. A breakdown showing owner occupation and other private ownership is not available.
