§ Mr. BrookeA number of such representations were received in response to a consultative document on the legal basis of further education issued in 1981. The issue was also considered jointly by a group from the Department and the local authority associations. The report of this group is still under consideration and no decisions have yet been taken on the possibilities for changes in the present arrangements.
