HC Deb 12 June 1984 vol 61 c436W
Mr. Steen

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he is satisfied with the marketing structure of produce such as English cheeses and butters; and if he will make a statement as to the steps the Government are taking further to promote and market English dairy produce in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Mr. MacGregor

The Government took the initiative to set up Food From Britain which provides the United Kingdom industry with the opportunity to promote home produced dairy products both in the United Kingdom and on key export markets. The industry is taking advantage of that and other arrangements such as the introduction of the cheese mark and publicity organised by the National Dairy Council to ensure that consumers are aware of the quality produce we have to offer.
