asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he has any plans to meet the chairman of the National Dock Labour Board.

Neither my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport nor my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Employment, who is the Minister responsible for dock labour matters, has any plans at present to meet the chairman of the National Dock Labour Board.

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what representations he has received from employers and trade unions on the future of the National Dock Labour Board.

My right hon. Friend has received representations from some port employers, port users and others interested in the ports industry criticising the operation of the dock labour scheme.
