asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether farmers who are given public money to cease production of milk will be able to sell the whole or part of their farms or transfer the land to others without a prohibition on the use of that land for milk production.

The quota attached to a holding will have to be surrendered before the producer receives any payment under the outgoers scheme. Any subsequent transfer of the holding will therefore be without quota.
