§ Mr. AncramThere were 14,300 applications for assistance made to housing authorities in Scotland under the Housing (Homeless Persons) Act 1977 during the year ended 31 March 1983. Detailed statistics showing the number of applications made during that year, the reasons for the loss of the applicants' last accommodation, the priority of their need for accommodation and the type of accommodation secured for them by district councils will be published in the first annual edition of "Scottish Housing Statistics" later this year.
