§ Mr. Pikeasked the Secretary of State for Defence at what stage protection afforded to employees of the royal ordnance factories by the Transfer of Undertaking (Protection of Employment) Order 1981 will terminate as a result of moves towards privatisation.
§ Mr. PattieThe provisions of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 will apply to the transfer of existing ROF employees to the successor company. After vesting day the ROF work force will, like all other employees, have the protection afforded by the Employment Acts.
