§ Mr. Peter MorrisonIt is primarily for industry itself to identify and meet its training needs. The Government's strategy is directed towards encouraging industry to assume its proper responsibilities and helping to develop more effective ways of meeting the skill needs of the new technologies. A committee including representatives of the Government, industry and education has recently presented its first report, which makes a number of recommendations to deal with information technology skill shortages at graduate level.
