HC Deb 27 July 1984 vol 64 cc850-1W
Mr. Wallace

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what the estimated staffing levels would be in the Department's offices at (a) Wick and (b) Kirkwall if the Department's published proposals for a Kirkwall local office are fully implemented.

Mr. Newton

The present staffing level in the Department's office at Wick is 55—including three staff outstationed at Kirkwall to deal with some Supplementary Benefit work—and at Kirkwall six.

If the published proposals for a Kirkwall local office are fully implemented staffing levels would be 52 and 10, respectively.
