§ Mr. ButcherIt is the agreed objective of the BL board and the Government to return the businesses within BL, either together or individually, to the private sector as soon as practical. No decisions have yet been taken on how this is to be achieved beyond the decision, now being implemented, to make a public offer for sale of the shares of Jaguar. In taking decisions on the next stages in the process, the Government and the board will take into account all the circumstances at the time and the particular characteristics of the businesses concerned.
