§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, (1) how many arrests have been made in the current year by Metropolitan police officers in pursuance of their duty under articles 22 and 29 of the Vienna convention; and what embassies or high commissions were involved;
(2) when was the last time, prior to 1984, anyone was arrested by the Metropolitan police in pursuance of their duty under articles 22 and 29 of the Vienna convention;
(3) how many times in the past five years demonstrations outside embassies have been banned or limited under articles 22 and 29 of the Vienna convention.
§ Mr. HurdThe Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis tell me that the information requested is not collated by him centrally, and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
