§ Mr. Giles ShawThe information for 1983, which is due to be published by my Department at the end of July, is given in the following table. It is derived from returns made to Her Majesty's Customs and Excise.
Coal exports (a) Volume (thousand tonnes) 6,344 (b) Value—fob (£ thousand) 190,860 (c) Markets (thousand tonnes) European Community 4,625 Other markets 1,719 The principal destinations in 1983, by volume, were Denmark, France, Finland, Federal Republic of Germany and the Irish Republic.
