§ Mr. RifkindMr. Botha's visit enabled my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister to explain our position on a range of bilateral and South African issues. It was part of a long-term exercise through which we and other Western and African Governments must try to influence South African policies. We shall continue our efforts.
