Mr. Cartwright

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is his most recent assessment of the percentage of (a) owner occupiers, (b) private tenants and (c) local authority and housing association tenants whose homes have up to 100 mm of loft insulation in each of the English regions and in Wales.

The estimates are derived at from the AGB home audit sample survey and relate to the position at December 1983.

Percentage of homes* with no loft insulation or loft insulation less than 100 mm.
