asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions his Department has had with the British Broadcasting Company external services about the proposed transmitter at Bearley.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has had frequent discussions with the BBC external services about the audibility improvement programme announced in 1981, of which the proposed transmitting station at Bearley forms part.
