§ Mrs. Roeasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if the Commission of the European Communities has yet replied to the notification of the Government's proposed contribution towards the costs of the Sea Fish Industry Authority's market development programme, as announced in his answer to the hon. Member for Beverley (Sir P. Wall) on 22 May, Official Report, column 379.
§ Mr. JoplingWe have been informed by the Commission that it has decided to initiate the procedure provided for in article 93(2) of the Treaty of Rome in respect of the programmes. The Government will in due course be submitting their comments to the Commission on the points raised in the notification. No contribution will be made until this procedure is completed.
