§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what action he is taking consequent on the 622W result of the recent fire test in Ronan Point to review the safety of the Larsen Nielsen system of construction and the safety of residents of tower blocks built with this system.
§ Sir George YoungThe test was one of a series related to the structure of the building being carried out by consultants retained by the London borough of Newham. I understand that a full analysis is being made but has not yet been completed. My officials are keeping in close touch with the borough council and I have asked for a report as soon as it is available.
