§ 39. Mr. Maclennanasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will give the total cost to date of the inquiry into the Sizewell B nuclear reactor; and if he will make a statement on its progress.
§ Mr. Giles ShawCosts up to 30 June 1984 falling to my Department were some £315,000. Other costs incurred to the same date in running the Inquiry and recoverable from the CEGB by agreement with the board totalled some £1¼ million. Costs incurred by parties to the Inquiry, including the CEGB's own costs, are a matter for them and are not included in this total. The progress of the Inquiry is a matter for the Inspector.
