HC Deb 23 July 1984 vol 64 c535W
Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what consideration he has given to relevant findings arising from the death of Sapper David Mead on South Georgia.

Mr. Stanley

The report on the coroner's inquest into the death of Sapper Mead has been received and studied in the Ministry. Although this was an isolated incident steps have been taken to tighten further the supervision and control of the consumption of alcohol by service personnel in South Georgia.
